A selection of videos produced for The Poly Post - Cal Poly Pomona.

As Multimedia Editor of The Poly Post from January to June 2013, and currently serving as their Multimedia Consultant, I had the opportunity to produce dozens of video projects. Below are a sampling of some of the projects that were produced and incorporate a number of students as Poly Post staffers and freelancers.

"The Poly Post: This Week"

Beginning in Spring of 2013, I began producing my version of "Weekend Update" which was a weekly news program that was previously produced by The Poly Post. There had been a 9 month break between episodes after the previous producer graduated. I was asked to bring it back.

I brought it back and over time, I began to add elements to the program. I decided to make it my own, changing it's format and name to "The Poly Post: This Week."

With this move, the program increased in length and offered more variety. It also  increased the on-camera talent from 2 to 7 students--increasing the opportunity for more students to be involved and to learn video production skills.

"Video Profile:
Bradford Tidwell"

Produced by Andrea Jimenez and Chris Ventura.

This video profile is about student and musician Bradford Tidwell. All interviews were conducted in a single day. Editing began later that evening with voice-overs and final editing completed the following morning.  An example of great outstanding collaboration between reporter and producer/editor.

"The Big Story:
Broncos Basketball"

I decided that it was important for this game to have video coverage, so I went out and produced this piece on a crucial men's basketball game at Cal Poy Pomona.

Animated graphics produced with Zaxwerks ProAnimattor. Voiceovers recorded at home studio and edited with Adobe Auditon. Final editing completed with Sony Vegas Pro 10.
